Our mission is to transform peace research using advanced technologies and localized, AI, bio-regional peace data to empower policymakers, communities, and organizations with impactful insights. By integrating cutting-edge analytics and real-time assessments, we support the creation of sustainable peace across regions, enabling informed decisions for a safer, more peaceful world.
Expanded Mission Statement
The institute’s focus/mission is “to advance research on the fundamental conditions for peaceful coexistence among nations, communities, and individuals.” Drawing from a diverse array of scholars, experts, and thought leaders, GCUPRI integrates insights from multiple disciplines, including but not limited to social sciences, humanities, political science, technical sciences, artificial intelligence, sociology, anthropology, psychology, human geography, history, religious studies, and philosophy.
The institute’s research and research provided by contributing researchers is disseminated through peer-reviewed academic journals, general public internet reviews, anthologies, and monographs, as well as policy-driven reports and strategic papers under GCUPRI’s in-house publication series. By bridging rigorous academic inquiry with real-world application, GCUPRI aims to shape innovative policies and frameworks that promote lasting global peace and stability.
The institute’s budget is sustained through donations by Sir Gary S. Kong and core grants from foundational sponsors, while the remaining is secured through project-based funding as well as donations by authors. The institute’s primary financial supporters are expected to include leading international research institutions and global peace-focused organizations. Additional funding sources may encompass intergovernmental agencies, global financial institutions, and national research councils.
In alignment with its mission, GCUPRI is dedicated to advancing peace research by fostering strategic partnerships with academic institutions, policymakers, and global organizations. These collaborations aim to generate groundbreaking research that informs evidence-based policy decisions and innovative conflict resolution strategies.
Through its international engagements, GCUPRI will spearhead high-impact peace research initiatives addressing global conflict resolution, mediation strategies, and sustainable development. These initiatives are designed to provide actionable insights and policy recommendations to world leaders, diplomats, and key decision-makers.
Beyond conflict resolution, GCUPRI is committed to examining the root causes of tensions and fostering frameworks for sustainable peace. By combining rigorous academic inquiry with real-world applications, the institute strives to cultivate long-term stability, mutual understanding, and global cooperation.
